Spirit Coach
Gregory refers to his work as a Spirit Coaching—helping men and women embrace areas of their lives they had previously deemed unacceptable, rid their lives of things that no longer serve them, and maximize their abilities for personal success as well as service to those around them.
In 1996, Gregory began studying the Science of Mind through the local Center for Spiritual Living to become a Practitioner. As such, he has provided this licensed professional service since 2000. Practitioners are individuals trained in the principals of the Science of Mind and the practice of spiritual mind treatment, often also called affirmative prayer treatment. (Religious Science is neither Scientology nor Christian Science.)
Gregory completed a Master of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in May 2003, and was immediately asked to become an adjunct professor within the program. In August 2003, he began teaching at the college and continued there through the spring of 2006. He has practiced as a substance abuse therapist, Tennessee state mental health program director, and a community social worker.
Simultaneous to earning his MSSW, Gregory trained as a personal and professional life coach. Coaches help their clients move forward in their lives and achieve their highest dreams and potential. In 2003, he completed his studies from the ground-breaking Coach University (CoachU) program and opened a practice specifically to help loved ones of addicts who wanted to develop appropriate and beneficial boundaries.
In 2009, Gregory became an ordained minister within the Universal Brotherhood Movement.
While experienced as a counselor, today he prefers to work as a Spirit Coach, mixing elements from clinical therapy, coaching, Science of Mind and other spiritual and behavioural concepts into his work with groups and individuals. He does not practice as a licensed clinical social worker.
Gregory sees a limited number of individuals through face-to-face, over-the-telephone, or email communication sessions. Fees are based on the type of session, and a sliding scale fee is available for those who are experiencing temporary financial difficulty.
